  • 500g summer fruits (mixed berries)
  • 500g jam sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fruit: Briefly blend the summer fruits to break them down slightly but still retain some texture.
  2. Combine Fruit and Sugar: Place the blended fruit and jam sugar in a large microwave-proof bowl.
  3. First Microwave Heating: Microwave on High for 3 minutes, then stir the mixture thoroughly to combine the sugar and fruit juices.
  4. Second Microwave Heating: Microwave again on High for 3 minutes, stirring well afterwards to ensure even cooking.
  5. Final Microwave Heating: Microwave for a final 2 minutes on High to fully dissolve the sugar and thicken the jam.
  6. Jar the Jam: Pour the hot jam into warm sterilised jars. Let the jam cool completely before sealing.
  7. Storage: Store the sealed jars in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months. Refrigerate after opening.

  • Recycle old glass jars by washing, drying well, and heating them in a medium oven for 5 minutes before bottling your jam to sterilize them.
