Instructions
- Step 1: Put the flour in a large bowl. Add a little salt to one side and the yeast to the other. Sprinkle over the sugar, then add the olive oil and 190ml warm water. Mix with a spoon until the flour comes away from the sides.
- Step 2: Tip the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 5–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Lightly oil a clean bowl, place the dough inside, cover with cling film, and leave to rise for 1 hour.
- Step 3: Meanwhile, make the sauce. Pour passata into a saucepan, add chopped basil and mixed herbs, season to taste, bring to a boil over low heat, and simmer gently for 5 minutes. Set aside to cool. Prepare toppings as desired.
