Meatball Sliders in Biscuits Recipe

  • Author: Hailey
  • Total Time: 1 hour 5 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Description

These Meatball Sliders in Biscuits combine flavorful homemade beef meatballs with gooey mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce, all wrapped in soft, golden biscuit dough. Perfect as a party appetizer or a fun family meal, they are easy to prepare and bake to perfection in the oven.

Ingredients

Scale

Meatballs

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper

Sliders

  • 1 tube Pillsbury® Biscuits
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Marinara Sauce, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) to prepare for baking the meatballs.
  2. Mix Meatball Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, fresh parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Form Meatballs: Scoop approximately 2 ounces of the meat mixture per meatball and place them evenly spaced on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake Meatballs: Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 minutes until cooked through. Remove from oven and let cool for about 15 minutes.
  5. Lower Oven Temperature: Reduce oven heat to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) to prepare for baking the assembled sliders.
  6. Prepare Biscuit Dough: Roll out each biscuit from the Pillsbury® tube to about twice its original size on a clean surface to allow enough dough to wrap around the meatballs.
  7. Assemble Sliders: Place a handful of shredded mozzarella cheese in the center of each rolled-out biscuit dough. Top with one cooled meatball and a dollop of marinara sauce on top of the meatball.
  8. Wrap Sliders: Carefully wrap the dough around the meatball, sealing the edges and placing each wrapped slider seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  9. Bake Sliders: Bake the assembled sliders in the oven at 375 degrees F for 15-20 minutes, or until the biscuit dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Serve: Remove from oven and serve the meatball sliders warm, accompanied with extra marinara sauce for dipping if desired.

Notes

  • Allowing the meatballs to cool slightly before wrapping with biscuit dough prevents the dough from becoming soggy.
  • You can substitute shredded mozzarella with provolone or cheddar for a different cheese flavor.
  • Use fresh parsley for best flavor, but dried can be substituted (use about 1 tablespoon if using dried).
  • To make the sliders spicier, add chili flakes to the meatball mixture or marinara sauce.
  • These sliders can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
